Ottawa, September 9, 2020 - The Ontario Legal Information Centre (the Centre) has been recognized for its services by The Law Foundation of Ontario.
The article, which appeared in early September, highlights touching stories of clients who have used the Centre's services following a milestone event.

“A woman arrives at the CIJO in tears because she has an automobile debt that she does not understand. She bought a used car and then replaced it with another car. Things got complicated and she was no longer able to pay. An in-house lawyer helped her understand how her car costs were structured and the legal steps she could take to resolve the case. She was smiling when she left, relieved to know that she could take action about her debt."

The Center offers a free 30-minute meeting with a lawyer to anyone facing a legal problem. The lawyer provides legal information and directs Ontarians to appropriate resources in the region and province. Information, referral and support services are offered in French and English, in person and by telephone, on a confidential basis.
